Retail Procurement Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to provide professional level of support to the Procurement department in cultivating long-lasting vendor partnerships to provide premium products.

While the primary focus of this role is Procurement Coordinator, the successful candidate may also cross-train in other positions within the department based on organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for various office tasks related to procurement to ensure the smooth operation of the team’s purchasing functions that are compliant with all company, local, state and federal procurement regulations.
  • Collects and provides initial analysis of data to be used by the procurement team.
  • Ensures proposals/quotes are completely and appropriately completed, verify product and pricing information and contact potential suppliers for clarification.
  • Produces reports tracking contract expiration dates or spending for assigned categories or departments.
  • Oversees new vendor setup in procurement or purchasing systems and ensures that systems are appropriately maintained and updated.
  • May track shipments or verify quantities received against purchase orders/invoices.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience:

Solid experience and/or knowledge within the field; preferred.
  • Solid experience and/or knowledge of accounting procedures and principles preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and procurement software.
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree; preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday.
  • Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 15 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
  • Ability to get in and out of vehicle and walk up and down stairs during your shift.
  • Must be able to stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
