About Us

HobbyTown Louisville is a locally owned franchise and one of the go-to spots in town for toys, model kits, RC vehicles, and trading card games. We carry Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece TCG, and the Gundam Card Game, along with Bandai model kits, plushies, board games, and family-friendly toys. We host release-day events, tournaments, and league nights, and weekends are our busiest and most fun days in the store.

The Role

We're looking for a part-time Sales Associate to anchor our weekend team, working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday each week (11am-7pm). No hobby or retail experience is required. We'll teach you everything you need to know about our products. What we can't teach is reliability: we need someone who shows up on time, every scheduled day, and takes pride in doing the job well.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers and help them find toys, games, kits, and gifts
• Ring up sales at the register and handle transactions accurately
• Keep the store clean, organized, and well-merchandised
• Receive and stock new product
• Support in-store events on busy weekend days
• Learn our product lines over time (TCG, Bandai kits, RC, plushies, toys) with our training and support

What We're Looking For

• Guaranteed availability every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday: this is a firm requirement
• Dependable and punctual: you show up when scheduled, on time, every time
• Friendly, customer-first attitude
• Comfortable learning new things and asking questions
• Able to stand for a full shift and lift boxes of product

No specific knowledge, qualifications, or experience needed. If you're reliable and willing to learn, we want to hear from you.

Bonus Points (nice to have, not required)

• Familiarity with trading card games (Pokémon, Magic, One Piece, Gundam, etc.)
• Knowledge of Bandai/Gunpla, model kits, or RC vehicles
• Prior retail or cash-handling experience
