Retail Sales Associate for Scuba

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
• Demonstrate products through engaging demos to enhance customer understanding and interest
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell related products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers
• Conduct product demos and answer customer questions confidently to promote sales
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts
• Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and inviting at all times

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math for transactions
• Knowledge of scuba diving operations or certification as a scuba diver is preferred
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for creating positive interactions
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks such as moving air tanks
