Job Description for Retail Sales Associates Summary of the Position:

The Sales Associate will help support Store Management in the execution of sales and operations for the Ray O'Herron Co., Inc. through exceeding expectations in company objectives. Our Salespeople are accountable for Floor Sales, supporting our Outside Sales Team, and achieving consistent operational excellence, while maintaining professional pride and work ethic.

Functions of the Sales Associate:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Responsible for growing revenues by driving sales through the execution of our selling culture. Support store management in recruiting and training for other brand expert positions. Execute an innovative customer store experience that excites and exceeds our customers’ expectations and enhances sales opportunities and adds value for the customer. Maintain store policies and procedures. Execute strategies to improve operating results, manage inventory and maximize sales. Execute visual merchandising direction while maintaining standards and brand image. Support the store management in the execution of strategic events to increase sales and profitability. Monitor individual time worked and follow the Ray O'Herron Co., Inc. store scheduling processes. Acts as a liaison between Customer and Store Management. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and respond to change effectively. Resolve customer service issues in the store in conjunction with store management.

Proven ability to plan and accomplish goals and exceeding expectations. Demonstrated ability to execute strong selling and people interaction skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and take direction from a supervisor. Strong organizational, outstanding communication skills and the ability to follow tasks to completion.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This job is Full-Time and operates within a retail store. May have to lift up to 20lbs. Ability to move about a retail store for long periods of time. May be required to stand for long periods of time during a workday.

Expected Hours of Work:

May be required to work a little more than eight hours during a workday. (8:00am-4:30pm) Required to work weekends. (Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm Noon)

Requirements of Education, Experience and Skills:

Approximately 1 year of experience with apparel store environment preferred. POS and Microsoft Office experience. General knowledge of retail/math principles with the ability work with numbers, visual presentation techniques and store layout.
