Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Assist customers with product demonstrations and answer questions about features and benefits
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean, attractive, and well-maintained
• Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences
• Manage inventory levels through stocking, merchandising, and inventory checks
• Handle cash, process payments accurately, and maintain proper cash handling procedures
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
• Support supervising staff in training new team members and maintaining store standards
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and retail math concepts
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with grocery retail is advantageous
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.90 - $17.00 per hour
