Retail Store Manager - Car Wash Operations

We’re looking for a hands‑on, energetic Store Manager to lead daily operations at our car wash. In this role, you’ll oversee staff, maintain a clean and safe site, deliver excellent customer service, and drive sales and membership growth. Key Responsibilities

Operations & Customer Experience

  • Manage daily car wash operations to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Maintain high levels of customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns
  • Ensure cleanliness of wash bays, lobby, vacuum areas, and site grounds
  • Monitor wash quality and operational flow throughout each shift

Team Leadership

  • Lead, schedule, train, and supervise car wash staff
  • Hire, onboard, and coach employees on performance expectations
  • Provide ongoing feedback to reinforce service standards and productivity
  • Ensure adequate staffing coverage for daily operations

Equipment, Inventory & Safety

  • Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance as needed
  • Manage inventory of chemicals and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Financial & Administrative

  • Track basic sales, labor, and expense metrics to meet store goals
  • Promote membership programs and site‑level promotions

Duties

  • Lead and supervise all store activities, including maintenance, sales, inventory management, and customer service to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees while providing ongoing training and development to foster a high-performing team.
  • Oversee inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, merchandising, stocking, and marketing initiatives to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Implement effective management practices such as shift scheduling, employee orientation, and supervision to optimize team productivity.
  • Maintain excellent communication with staff and customers through phone etiquette and personalized service to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales targets to meet or exceed store performance goals.

Requirements

  • Strong background in maintenance required.
  • Prior car wash experience preferred.
  • Proven management experience in retail sales or store management with supervisory responsibilities including recruiting, interviewing, and training staff.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and maintenance tasks.
