Responsibilities
The Revenue Cycle Associate is responsible for completing the following tasks in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner:
- Responsible for coding and processing medical claims
- Resolve patient inquiries regarding their statements
- Review remittance for outstanding claims and route to appropriate system
- Manage denials that are deemed they should be appealed
- Requisition refunds for patients
- Monitor the billing and assist in processing A/P
- Reconcile POs, invoices, statements, and prepare them for payment
- Maintains patient confidentiality and performs position responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner
- Collaborates with patients, significant others, physicians and other ancillary departments to become a multidisciplinary health care team whose goal is to provide care that is continuous and well-coordinated
Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance, and medical practice services and routines.
- Medical Billing Experience
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience in in CPT/ICD coding
