We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Revenue Specialist to join our financial team. - Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and customer account analysis to ensure timely payments and reduce outstanding balances
- Perform detailed account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to verify accuracy of revenue entries
- Maintain compliance with SOX controls by documenting procedures and conducting internal audits of revenue transactions
- Utilize technical accounting knowledge to prepare journal entries related to revenue recognition and adjustments in accordance with GAAP standards
- Conduct data entry with precision using 10-key typing skills while ensuring accuracy in financial software systems like Quicken or other relevant tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medical billing, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting to streamline revenue cycle management processes
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or anomalies; prepare reports that support decision-making and strategic planning
- Engage in negotiation with clients or vendors regarding billing issues or payment terms to optimize cash flow and strengthen relationships
Qualifications
- Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a focus on revenue cycle management
- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, and double-entry bookkeeping
- Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; experience with medical terminology and CPT coding is a plus
- Knowledge of SOX compliance procedures and internal control frameworks for financial reporting
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation and identify discrepancies efficiently
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding standards and medical billing processes preferred but not required
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Effective communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette for customer service interactions and negotiations
