EXPERIENCED NURSES IN Dermatology is a must
- Perform a physical assessment on each patient, paying special attention to the skin.
- Assist the physician in the performance of skin exams, monitor and record a patient's medical history, and be aware of relevant test results.
- Assist the dermatologist with outpatient and surgical dermatology procedures.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for clients who are undergoing treatment for a variety of skin conditions and diseases.
- Assist with procedures using specialized medical equipment, including cosmetic dermatology
- Assess, monitor, and treat skin wounds, mainly burns.
- Perform wound care and be familiar with many dressings, topical medications, and care routines.
- Be familiar with how to treat acne, specific acne medications and their risks, and alternative topical medications.
- Educate each patient on how to protect their skin and care for skin diseases and conditions at home.
- Work with different machines and equipment. Ex:-
- Laser Machines (for Skin Rejuvenation and Hair Removal Treatment), Botox and Dermal Fillers, Hydra Facial, Mesotherapy, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma, Chemical Peel/Acne Treatment, CO2 Treatment
- Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols...
- Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
- Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area.
- Maintains patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations; cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
- Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
