Rig Inspection Engineer

Job Responsibilities :

i) Perform contract start & periodic drilling equipment inspections/audit on board drilling unit. Witness function testing, pressure testing, load testing and review of the traceability, quality assurance and test certificates of equipment.

ii) Confirm drilling equipment suitability and contractual compliance for well capability with project requirements.

iii) Prepare an appropriate inspection and testing guidelines that will include carefully prepared checklists and procedures which will be designed to ensure thorough examinations of the Drilling unit and associated critical systems and drilling rig equipment.

iv) Audit, advice and report contractor’s compliance with and completion of the Commissioning Program as well as the condition of the drilling unit and equipment. Inspection of the equipment Documentation and certification to confirm its compliance to contract requirement.

v) Assist in rig modifications as required for Company operations.

Requirements :

• 15 years’ experience in similar work in the Drilling Industry including Jack up rigs inspection experience.

• Certified for MODU spec inspections as per industry requirements

• B. Sc. Degree, Engineering preferred
