Rigid Tanker Driver Class 2

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Rigid Tanker Driver to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, Candidate should have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a driver you will be responsible for collection and transportation of non-hazardous liquid waste from multiple sites. Ensuring timely collections and maintaining a respectful relationship with clients.

Driving company vehicles to agreed standards and following all Health & Safety (H&S) requirements.

Ensuring all driving regulations & other compliance standards are maintained.

To drive safely and efficiently whilst adhering to Highway Code guidelines and the Road Traffic Act.

Key Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not be limited to), general driving duties, observing current legal and best practice collections from our customer’s premises and delivering back to site.

Maintaining a professional standard when representing Foila Group Limited during collections.

Carry out pre-use checks prior to using any equipment / vehicle / complying with appropriate documentation & procedures.

Reporting of any vehicle defects / damage or H&S issues to Foila Group Limited

Ensuring that vehicle loads are safe and damage free, secured with the appropriate restraints as per company procedures / Safe Systems of Work. Check/ complete /retain and hand over all load documentation/and delivery paperwork.

Ensure that the returned goods process is followed at all times.

Provide relevant feedback to management on information gathered whilst completing your duties.

Maintain vehicle cleanliness using all equipment safely as specified in operating procedures and Safe Systems of Work.

Comply with all drivers’ hours/tachograph / WTD regulations. (including GB Domestic where appropriate).

Adhere to all H&S rules.

Comply with other sites rules and maintain high standards of compliance, hygiene and housekeeping.

Operate in accordance with Foila Group Limited policies and procedures.

Comply with any other reasonable requests from Management.

Responsibilities

• Operate Tanker safely and efficiently to collect from designated locations and bring back to site.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Plan routes effectively to optimise collection times while adhering to traffic regulations.
• Load and unload securely.
• Maintain accurate records of collections, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during work.
• Communicate effectively clients regarding collection schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.

Requirements

• Drivers must have the legal right to work in the UK and a valid National Insurance number.
• Each driver must hold a valid Category C or C+E Licence.
• Each driver must have driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Ability to perform physical tasks.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
