Risk Management function (“Risk”) is responsible for developing and tracking USC key risks and related metrics with the goal of delivering this information to inform business decisions. Overall, Risk is responsible for:

• Risk evaluation of law firms and other counterparties. The evaluation process for law firms involves assessing their performance
• Monitoring existing exposures
• Review of new counterparties and controlled onboarding into CRM
• Ensuring carrier ratings are accurately updated in scheduled intervals

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Account Creation – Timely creation and vetting of new accounts and contacts records in CRM system, ensuring all strategic data points are captured.
• Carrier Ratings - Work closely with offshore teams to ensure credit ratings are kept current for all active carriers.
• Risk Dashboard – Use Risk dashboard to determine what accounts are due for evaluations.
• Pricing - Collaborate with offshore team on pricing escalations ensuring adherence to specialty state and USC’s pricing matrices.
• Ad Hoc – Assist the Director of Portfolio Management & Risk with additional projects as needed.

EDUCATION, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree, economics / business studies preferred
• 2+ years of experience, preferably in financial sector (banking and specialty finance company)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
• Team player who enjoys working with others and reaching out proactively throughout the firm
• Proactive personality willing and able to drive strong results constantly evolving conditions in a high exposure capacity
• Strong attention to details
• Experience working with Microsoft CRM is a plus
