Risk Analytics Senior Manager

Job Purpose:

Lead the Development, validation of risk models and writing validation reports that lay out the results of theoretical review and testing.

Responsibilities:

Model Development :

• Work with all business units across the enterprise to develop and maintain an inventory of models agreeing on the model assumptions, requirements and methodology.
• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objective. Furthermore, Supervise sourcing and cleansing of data for use in model development

Model Validation :

• Validation duties include: assessment of conceptual stability, evaluating inputs and outputs, testing the model for accuracy, back-testing/ benchmarking, and reverse-engineering the models
• Develop a thorough understanding of the models’ theoretical frameworks, implementation, and use in practice to evaluate complex business decision making processes
• Analysis and Presentation of reviews and proposed recommendations, model limitations, as well as follow up on remediation efforts to senior management
• Monitor model performance, review model changes and document model governance decisions to comply with model policy.
• Documenting the results of the model validation including observations and findings, to model owners and users, and recommending remedial action plans. Furthermore, managing tracking process to ensure that the resolution of findings with model owners and users

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:

• +7 years progressive experience in risk management analysis
• Experience in financial model development/validation.
• Strong knowledge of Risk Modeling.
• Strong understanding of portfolio level risk analytics.
• Ability to understand the implications of model assumptions on business decisions.
