General Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Intern to join our Risk Management team. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in various data analytical projects, allowing the intern to develop valuable skills and gain insights into the day-to-day operations of an insurance company.
Dates: June 1, 2026, to August 7, 2026 (10 Weeks)
Location: Onsite in Roslyn, NY
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with day-to-day tasks, such as generating ad-hoc reports/ presentations, creating data visualizations that are easy to interpret for technical and non-technical users.

Support team projects by preparing presentations and analyses based on loss runs and clinically coded data to develop risk management strategies and drive business decisions.

Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to ongoing initiatives.

Collaborate with team members to solve problems and achieve project goals.

Maintain organized records and documentation.

Complete assigned tasks within specified timelines.

All other duties as deemed appropriate by management
Education & Qualifications:

Currently seeking a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate attending an accredited University pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Health Informatics or related quantitative field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Some knowledge of industry-standard programming languages (Python or R) as well as some knowledge of database querying languages (SQL).

Familiarity with various business intelligence software (PowerBI or Tableau).

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
