We're seeking a creative, energetic, and results-driven individual to own our digital voice, drive leads, and showcase the full Riverhouse Hospitality portfolio through beautiful, engaging content.
Schedule & Location
- Hybrid (office and remote with regular in-person presence for event content capture)
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Attend weekday and weekend events across venues (Haddam, Hartford, and off-site) during peak seasons (spring through fall wedding season) for live shoots and behind-the-scenes content creation
- Based in Connecticut; ideal proximity to Haddam/Hartford for easy travel
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic monthly content calendars and branding guidelines that align with goals: driving venue inquiries/bookings, increasing wedding leads, cross-promoting all services (venues, catering, cakes, cruises), and highlighting awards/client review/excellence
- Hands-on creation and posting of daily/weekly content across platforms: short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Stories—venue tours, wedding highlights, food prep, cake reveals, fun/celebratory moments, behind-the-scenes team energy) and high-quality photos/carousels (elegant setups, romantic details, guest reactions)
- Appear on-camera or direct others (staff, hosts, real couples/guests) for authentic, relatable storytelling; mix elegant/luxury shots with heartfelt romantic narratives and fun, celebratory vibes
- Write compelling captions that blend sophistication, emotion, and subtle calls-to-action (e.g., "DM to book your tour" or "Link in bio for packages")
- Manage community engagement: Respond to comments/DMs quickly (aim for same-day/24-hour), nurture inquiries into leads, share user-generated content, and build loyalty with past clients
- Manage content on websites and marketing platforms (Knot/Wedding Wire, Zola, etc.)
- Track and analyze performance (engagement, reach, website traffic, lead inquiries) via Meta Business Suite and platform analytics; report monthly insights and optimize for better results
- Collaborate with venue managers, catering team, and owners to source fresh content at events (weekend shoots) and promote seasonal offers, new packages, or awards
- Grow presence on TikTok for younger audiences while strengthening Instagram/Facebook; integrate content to drive traffic to our websites (theriverhouse.com, hartfordsocietyroom.com, riverhousecatering.com, riverhousecruises.com etc.)
- Assist with paid social (Meta Ads for lead gen, boosted event posts) as needed Requirements (Must-Haves)
- 3–7 years hands-on social media experience (mid-level; hospitality, weddings, events, or luxury/lifestyle brands strongly preferred)
- Strong portfolio of visual content you've created/managed—especially short-form video, event photography, and on-camera/relatable posts; links or examples required with application
- Proficiency in creation tools: CapCut (or similar) for video editing, Canva/Adobe Express for graphics, Meta Business Suite for scheduling/analytics
- Excellent eye for aesthetics: Able to capture elegant luxury, heartfelt romance, and fun celebration in photos/videos
- Solid understanding of Instagram and Facebook (primary platforms); familiarity with TikTok trends and short-form best practices
- Strong writing for brand-aligned captions (elegant yet warm and engaging)
- Self-starter comfortable with high autonomy in a small team; proactive communicator
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for weekend/on-site event coverage in CT
- No Moonlighting
Nice-to-Haves
- Direct experience in hospitality, weddings, or events (understanding of seasonal peaks, client inquiries, vendor coordination)
- Experience running paid social ads (Meta Ads Manager) for lead generation
- Advanced video editing skills or on-camera comfort
- Familiarity with website integration (embedding forms, driving traffic to booking pages)
