Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care and ensuring the highest standards of nursing practices are maintained. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while providing exceptional care to patients in various settings, including assisted living and home care environments.

Duties

  • Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients, focusing on their unique needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide airway management and tube feeding as necessary, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on health management, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed based on clinical evaluations.
  • Weekend availability is a must.

Skills

  • Proficient in assisted living practices and senior care methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate medical documentation.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to nursing.
  • Ability to perform airway management procedures effectively.
  • Experience with tube feeding techniques and related patient care tasks.
  • Familiarity with laboratory processes and collaboration within a healthcare team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and staff.
