Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care and ensuring the highest standards of nursing practices are maintained. Duties
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients, focusing on their unique needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide airway management and tube feeding as necessary, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
- Educate patients and families on health management, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed based on clinical evaluations.
- Weekend availability is a must.
Skills
- Proficient in assisted living practices and senior care methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate medical documentation.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to nursing.
- Ability to perform airway management procedures effectively.
- Experience with tube feeding techniques and related patient care tasks.
- Familiarity with laboratory processes and collaboration within a healthcare team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and staff.
