About Sterling Therapy Solutions

Welcome to Sterling Therapy Solutions — where great clinicians meet great assignments, and where we believe teamwork should come with just a hint of humor. We connect talented healthcare professionals with opportunities that inspire, support, and challenge them (in the good way, not the “why is this printer still broken?” way). Our goal? Make your assignment easier, your work meaningful, and your experience top-tier every step of the way.

Job Overview

Sterling Therapy Solutions is seeking an exceptional RN ICU to take on a dynamic, fast-paced, high-acuity opportunity in San Bernardino, CA. If you thrive in critical care settings, love complex cases, and don’t mind working nights while the rest of the world sleeps, this one’s calling your name.

Roles & Responsibilities

(A blend of VMS-provided duties + Sterling-customized expectations)

  • Provide high-quality critical care nursing to adult ICU patients in a busy, high-acuity environment.
  • Manage patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1, depending on acuity.
  • Interpret and manage GE monitoring systems; collaborate with monitor techs when available.
  • Administer and titrate drips including vasopressors, heparin, nitro, and more.
  • Respond to emergencies and implement evidence-based ICU interventions.
  • Work with vents including advanced respiratory support modalities.
  • Document all care thoroughly in Cerner PowerChart.
  • Collaborate closely with 24/7 intensivists, RT, and pharmacy teams.
  • Float as needed to Telemetry & ER ICU hold areas.
  • Participate in unit orientation and maintain compliance with facility policies.
  • Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care (because kindness matters just as much as competence).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years ICU experience (2 years may be accepted if from a large, high-acuity facility).
  • Recent ICU experience required.
  • CCRN preferred but not required.
  • Prior travel experience preferred.

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ASN or BSN).
  • Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of California.

Required Certifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong critical thinking in high-acuity trauma and medical ICU settings.
  • Proficiency in titratable drips and advanced hemodynamic management.
  • Ability to manage vents, post-PCI, post-CABG, stroke, sepsis, and other complex cases.
  • Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Adaptability to float between ICU, Telemetry, and ER as needed.
  • Commitment to patient satisfaction and compassionate care.

Benefits with Sterling Therapy Solutions

  • Competitive weekly pay
  • Reliable recruiter support that actually answers the phone
  • Direct hospital connections
  • Streamlined onboarding
  • Travel assistance (if applicable)
  • A team that treats you like family, not a resume
