Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic RN (Registered Nurse), LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse), or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform procedures like suturing and catheterization with precision and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Manage acute pain cases, assist with complex procedures such as spinal taps or cardiac catheterizations, and support emergency interventions in urgent care or hospital settings.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists in gastroenterology, dermatology (including dermal fillers and esthetic laser treatments), infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide patient education on medication management, nutrition, chronic disease management (such as diabetes or geriatrics), and post-discharge instructions including discharge planning and utilization review.
- Support telehealth services by conducting remote patient assessments and follow-up consultations utilizing telemedicine platforms.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring all records are complete and up-to-date for medical records review or coding purposes such as CPT coding or ICD-10/ICD-9.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as an RN, LVN/LPN, or Nurse Practitioner with current state certification.
- Proven experience in medical-surgical units, emergency rooms, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric ICU), or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks preferred.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, tube feeding management, ventilator support, sterile processing techniques, and infection control practices.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator care), geriatrics (memory care/dementia care), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for triage calls, patient education, case management coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law is advantageous for handling occupational health cases.
- Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or specialized training in esthetic laser treatments or pain management are beneficial. Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
