Compensation & Additional Details

  • Mid-Range Compensation: $53.12/hour (based on experience)
  • Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis (must reside more than 50 miles from facility)
  • Recruitment Fee: 20% of Offered Annualized Salary

Position Overview

A Trauma Center in the Kansas City metro area is seeking an experienced RN Manager – Cardiovascular Prep & Recovery to oversee Cardiac Observation, ECHO, and Stress Testing services.

This leadership role is responsible for clinical, operational, financial, and personnel oversight of the cardiovascular prep and recovery service line. The Manager ensures high-quality patient care delivery across the cardiac testing continuum while maintaining regulatory compliance, fiscal accountability, and staff engagement.

Facility Overview

This full-service acute care hospital offers advanced cardiovascular services, a Chest Pain Center, Level II Trauma designation, Stroke Center, Women’s Services, Orthopedics, Cancer Care, and comprehensive outpatient programs. The hospital is part of a large regional healthcare network serving the greater Kansas City area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management of the cardiovascular prep and recovery service area.
  • Serve as a professional role model, clinical resource, and liaison to medical staff.
  • Oversee clinical, financial, environmental, and employee-related functions.
  • Maintain departmental operations within budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures supporting scope of service.
  • Recommend staffing levels and ensure staff competency aligns with patient care needs.
  • Hire, orient, educate, evaluate, and manage departmental personnel.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives and integrate services across departments.
  • Maintain strong communication and engagement at both department and hospital levels.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred
  • Current Missouri RN License or Multistate Compact RN License
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a related area (Cardiology, Critical Care, ICU leadership experience strongly preferred)
  • BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification required within one year of hire
