Job Title: Registered Nurse for Oncology

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Oncology to join our dynamic healthcare team. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized care plans, educate patients and families about treatment options, and support emotional and physical needs with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions through comprehensive physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to develop tailored care plans.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments following established protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during treatments such as Botulinum toxin procedures or infusion therapies, intervening promptly when necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication administration, side effect management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and sterile processing within the clinical setting.
Skills
- Proven experience working with oncology patients in hospital or outpatient settings with familiarity in acute pain management and trauma medicine.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to oncology nursing.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation and order entry.
- Skilled in IV infusion therapy, medication administration including injections, and aseptic technique to prevent infection.
- Experience with specialized treatments such as Botulinum toxin therapy or ostomy care is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical examinations, patient assessment, specimen collection/processing, and laboratory experience including ICD coding and CPT coding knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education, triage responsibilities, and interdisciplinary collaboration across various care settings including hospice & palliative medicine or long-term care environments.
