Shift Schedule: Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)

Location: West Hollywood, CA 90048

Job Type: 13 weeks

Pay: $60-$65 per hour

Certifications: ACLS, PALS (preferred); BLS (REQUIRED)

Job Summary:

The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The OR RN works closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a sterile, efficient, and patient-centered surgical environment.

Unit Requirement:

  • REQ Experience: Min 2 years experience
  • First time travelers: will accept 1st time traveler
  • Certs: BLS required
  • Special Requirements: MUST circulate. Level I trauma experience required
  • RNs need strong experience in General, Ortho, spine, trauma, plastics
  • WILL WORK A 4TH SHIFT EVERY 3RD WEEK
  • OR: General / Bariatric / Colorectal / Surg Onc, Thoracic, Gender Affirming Surg, Reconstructive Breast
  • OR: Cardiac, Vascular,
  • OR: Ortho, Urology, Podiatry
  • OR: General / Liver / Kidney Transplant, Plastics, Dentistry, ENT, GYN Onc, Peds
  • General call in a 6 week schedule is 2x in house or on call.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assess patients prior to surgery, including reviewing medical history and verifying surgical consent.
  • Set up, maintain, and monitor the sterile field and surgical equipment.
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs and providing instruments and supplies.
  • Safely administer medications and monitor patient response to anesthesia and surgical intervention.
  • Maintain accurate surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps to ensure patient safety.
  • Monitor patient’s condition throughout the procedure and report any changes to the surgical team.
  • Provide postoperative care, including assessment, pain management, and patient education.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Adhere to infection control standards and OR protocols to maintain sterile conditions.
  • Document all nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 year Operating Room experience preferred
  • CNOR certification is an advantage.
