Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:

• Responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinic patients over the phone, while following established standards and practices.
• Verifies necessary information and performs patient assessment and triage over the phone.
• May call the patient with the provider’s return message and carry out tasks or orders sent by the provider.
• Works directly with physicians and staff in coordinating excellent patient care.
• Limited onsite patient care.
• Updating records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials:

Registered Nurse:

• Level I: $43.52 - $58.88 per hour.
• Level II: $47.87-$64.77 per hour.

Licensed Practical Nurse:

• Level I $29.21-$39.53 per hour.
• Level II $32.14 - $43.48 per hour.

Workdays: This position is primarily located at the Gastroenterology South Clinic in Newberg, with required coverage at the Gastroenterology South Clinic in Tualatin. Initial training will be conducted at both the Newberg and Tualatin locations. Remote/Hybrid (50% onsite/50% home) work options are available after training completion, and expectations are met. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, (8:00 am-5:00 pm) or Monday-Friday, four 10-hour days with a day off: TBD (7:00am – 5:30pm).

Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:

• Minimum of two (2) years of previous nursing experience is required. Specialty experience in GI and/or Advice nursing is a plus!
• Current Oregon State RN or LPN license is required.
• Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS may be required by specialty.
• Prior experience in nursing phone triage is strongly preferred.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred. Epic experience is a plus!
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
