RN Program Manager (Mon-Fri 10-6)

Job Description : As the Program Manager at Virtue Recovery Houston you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical department and providing support to the medical staff. Your responsibilities will encompass staff onboarding and training, administrative duties, ordering supplies, providing direct patient care when necessary, and offering on-call support. You will also assist with medical department tasks and quality improvement and infection control initiatives to ensure the best possible care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

Staff Onboarding and Training:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive onboarding programs for all staff, including both medical and non-medical personnel, ensuring they are well-prepared to provide patient-centered care.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentorship to LVN’s, RNs and other staff, promoting continuous professional development.

Administrative Support:

  • Administrative tasks, including monthly scheduling, resource allocation, and staff management.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care, staff schedules, and other essential documentation.
  • Address staffing needs, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

On-Call Support:

  • Provide on-call shifts ensuring availability and timely response during your assigned weekend shifts.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling hours as needed to support the department’s changing demands.
  • Maintain communication with the team and escalate issues as appropriate to ensure efficient resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members to address and resolve any support issues outside of normal business hours.

Medical Department Assistance:

  • Assist in medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and providing direct patient care as needed.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee that the medication log (MAR) is current and being utilized properly to meet state requirements.
  • Update MAR’s and patient status forms/progress notes as needed, or ensure that nurses are completing this.
  • Audit MAR(s) weekly for client/facility inventory discrepancies for both controls and non-controls and update as needed.

Supply Management:

  • Responsible for ordering the necessary supplies for clients and nurses on a weekly basis, ensuring that all required materials are stocked and available for use.

Quality Improvement:

  • Actively participate in quality improvement and infection control initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Assist in conducting regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement in the medical department.

Implement corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
