Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced RN Supervisor to lead and coordinate nursing services within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations across various departments, including acute care, long-term care, behavioral health, and specialty units such as ICU, PICU, or dialysis.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to promote professional growth, ensure adherence to clinical protocols, and maintain high levels of team engagement.
  • Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, IV infusion procedures, catheter care, and wound management to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and diagnostic evaluations to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical records management and reporting.
  • Support infection control practices, sterile processing procedures, and aseptic techniques to uphold safety standards across all clinical areas.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and hospital accreditation requirements.
  • Assist in staffing planning based on patient acuity levels and workload demands while ensuring proper utilization management.

Qualifications

  • Valid RN license with current state registration; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Extensive clinical experience in acute care settings such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, or hospital medicine; critical care experience highly valued.
  • Proven supervisory or nurse management experience leading teams within medical-surgical units or specialized areas like dialysis or behavioral health.
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner or Athenahealth; familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques including laboratory experience and sonography.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics (senior care), pediatrics (PICU), neonatal ventilator management or dementia care is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle complex cases involving ventilator management, tube feeding protocols, spinal taps or cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated success in team management and staff development; supervisory certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules, infection control protocols, sterile technique practices and OSHA standards for workplace safety.

Pay: $50.00 - $52.00 per hour
