RN Weekend Supervisor

Come be a part of a family-style team at ASPEN HEALTH & REHAB. We are looking for an RN with excellent nursing and customer service skills to work as a Weekend Supervisor EVERY Saturday and Sunday for a total of 18 hours a week. Schedule will be discussed at interview. MUST have a heart for the elderly, be up-to-date on nursing skills and have experience in LTC.

```Duties```

- Supervise nursing staff; ensure attendance, breaks are being given, residents are cared for, disciplinary action if necessary and that tasks are being completed
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information
- Assist with physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Perform basic life support measures in emergency situations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide case management services to patients and their families
- Assist with discharge planning

```Skills```
- Experience with picc lines, IVs, hydration therapy, wound vacs are a plus, but we'll teach you if your skills are less than stellar right now!
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assist with diagnostic evaluations
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques and ability to respond to emergencies
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
