Responsibilities:
- Provided comprehensive wound care management for patients in acute care, long-term care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing settings.
- Assessed, treated, and documented various types of wounds including surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and traumatic injuries.
- Performed wound dressing changes, wound vac therapy, debridement assistance, and infection prevention interventions according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Collaborated with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitored wound healing progress, identified complications, and communicated patient status updates to physicians and care teams.
- Educated patients and family members on wound care management, skin integrity, infection prevention, and discharge instructions.
- Maintained accurate EMR documentation and ensured compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and facility standards.
- Assisted with medication administration, patient assessments, IV therapy, and general nursing care as needed.
- Demonstrated strong clinical judgment, time management, and patient advocacy skills while managing multiple patients in fast-paced healthcare environments.
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
