Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as an RN/LPN Floor Nurse, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and recovery. Duties
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine individual care needs.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusions and injections.
- Monitor patients’ conditions continuously, utilizing advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document care activities precisely.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as catheterization, suturing, and specimen collection/processing while maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Manage airway and ventilator support for critical patients in ICU or trauma settings, ensuring safety and compliance with infection control standards.
- Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with case management teams to facilitate seamless transitions across care settings.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication administration, pain management strategies, and health coaching tailored to individual needs.
Skills
- Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal units, and behavioral health environments.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Skilled in performing physical examinations, venipuncture (phlebotomy), IV insertion, catheter care, and sterile processing procedures.
- Experience managing acute pain cases, trauma medicine (Level I & II trauma centers), emergency room procedures, and ICU protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings such as urgent care centers or hospital medicine units requiring triage skills.
