Position Overview: The Robotic Welder Operator is Responsible for setup, operation, and maintenance of the robotic welder.

Program, set-up, adjust and operate robotic weld equipment.

Conduct basic preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment.

Develop new and improve existing robotic welding processes.

Perform QC checks on production parts.

Operate robotic welding machine to weld separately or in combination with manual welding.

Monitor, select and install welder consumables as needed.

Use tools, equipment, and technology, including hand or power tools, manufacturing/operations equipment and computerized or automated systems.
- Maintain work area(s) in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion.

Maintain production data and reports.
-
Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the company safety policies.

Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

One year of prior work experience working with programming and operating robotic welding machines preferred.

Two years of industrial welding experience preferred.

Understanding of welding quality.

Self-motivated, initiates work with minimal supervision.

High school diploma or GED required.
-
Able to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, manufacturing drawings or similar information.

Must be able to write legibly and demonstrate effective communication skills.

Ability to lift and move up to seventy-five pounds, as well as lift and move heavier objects with the assistance of cranes, forklifts, or another employee.

Knowledge of general shop procedures and rules including safety precautions.

Ability and willingness to cooperate with co-workers and work as part of a production team.
