Robotics Engineer – Fresher (Fabrication Shop)
Job Purpose
To support day-to-day operation, basic programming, and maintenance of robotic systems in the fabrication shop under guidance of senior engineers, while learning robotic welding, cutting, and material-handling applications.
Robotic Operation & Support
- Assist in operating robotic cells for:
- Welding
- Plasma / Laser cutting
- Material handling
- Monitor robot performance during production
- Support loading / unloading activities
Basic Robot Programming & Teaching
- Assist seniors in:
- Teach pendant programming
- Touch-ups and minor program edits
- Maintain backup of robot programs
- Learn offline programming tools (as applicable)
Robotic Welding & Process Learning
- Support execution of robotic welding as per WPS
- Observe and learn:
- Torch angles
- Travel speeds
- Weld sequencing
- Assist in weld trial runs and production approval
Maintenance & Troubleshooting Support
- Support preventive maintenance activities
- Assist in identifying:
- Basic alarms
- Sensor issues
- Cable and torch problems
- Escalate breakdowns to senior engineers or OEM support
Safety & Quality Compliance
- Follow all safety guidelines related to:
- Robot cells
- Interlocks
- Guards and light curtains
- Ensure quality checks during robotic production
- Participate in safety toolbox talks
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily records of:
- Robot running hours
- Downtime reasons
- Production output
- Update reports in ERP / Excel under guidance
Learning & Continuous Improvement
- Learn fabrication processes:
- Structural steel
- Pressure vessels
- Assemblies
- Identify opportunities to improve cycle time and quality
- Participate in Kaizen / improvement projects
Skills & Competencies (Expected Level – Beginner)
- Basic awareness of industrial robots
- Understanding of welding / cutting processes
- Basic PLC & sensor knowledge (preferred)
- Willingness to learn shop-floor operations
- Good coordination and communication skills

Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in:
- Robotics
- Mechatronics
- Mechanical
- Electrical / Electronics
- Basic training or academic exposure to industrial robots (FANUC / ABB / KUKA / YASKAWA – added advantage)
Experience
- Fresher / 0–1 year (Internship / apprenticeship exposure preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
