Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) is looking for passionate and highly motivated Faculty. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high quality instruction, mentoring students, contributing to curriculum development, and actively engaging in interdisciplinary research. Faculty members will also have the opportunity to collaborate with leading AI researchers, work on cutting edge projects, and contribute to the university's growth as a hub for AI excellence.

The Department of Robotics was established in 2023 and is in the fast growing phase. We welcome applications to the faculty position at all levels (Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor).

The Department focuses on AI based robotics research for the future of human society. Current research fields include foundation models for robots in various real world environments, reinforcement learning for robot control in unstructured dynamical environments, humanoid robotics, and data science of robots and humans, spanning industrial, agricultural, household, healthcare, urban, natural, and planetary environments.

Qualifications

This position requires a PhD in Robotics or a related field in Computer Science or Engineering. Candidates should have demonstrated excellence and future vision in conducting research, and motivation for teaching and mentoring students.
