Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Roll-Off Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate various heavy-duty trucks, including roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers, to transport waste, recyclables, and other materials efficiently and securely. Your expertise in commercial driving combined with mechanical knowledge will ensure smooth delivery and pickup operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

• Safely operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks such as roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment or manual effort, ensuring proper handling of heavy loads through heavy lifting techniques.
• Execute timely pickups and deliveries of waste containers, recyclables, and other materials to designated sites while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues early; perform basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary.
• Maintain accurate logs of all trips, deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections; ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Assist in securing loads on flatbeds or other truck types to prevent shifting during transit.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any operational issues promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience operating commercial vehicles such as roll-off trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers.
• Valid CDL license with necessary endorsements for heavy-duty truck operation; clean driving record required.
• Mechanical knowledge related to truck maintenance and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
• Prior experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Experience in load & unload procedures for various types of cargo or waste materials.
• Delivery driver experience demonstrating punctuality and professionalism in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes.
