Roll-Off Driver

C L Noonan Container Services Inc is looking for a Roll-Off Driver to join our team.

In this energetic role, you will operate specialized trucks to transport, load, and unload roll-off containers efficiently and safely. Your expertise will help ensure smooth service delivery, maintain safety standards, and support environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various heavy-duty trucks including roll-off trucks with roll-off containers and demolition trailers to service commercial, industiral and residential customers.
• Receive and carry out drop-offs and pick-ups of containers as dispatched.
• Check drop-off/pick-up instructions to ensure safe, proper execution and that all dispatch requirements are met. Ensure the highest quality of service in carrying out assigned duties.
• Follow all customer requirements and company policy on proper paperwork required for product delivery/pick-up.
• Safely operate motor truck to make pickups and deliveries to customers. Perform all DOT·required functions pertaining to transportation regulations. Record Driver logs through electronic means. Properly operate equipment to avoid unnecessary wear and tear. Use care at all times to avoid accidents, spills and incidents. Operate in accordance with federal, state and local traffic laws and regulations at all times.
• Inspect vehicle for safety issues. Promptly report deficiencies to Maintenance.
• Ensure proper deliveries by verifying the quality, quantities, gallons, pounds, etc. Record condition of product at time of delivery. Promptly return paperwork to terminal. Contact Dispatch for abnormal deliveries or problems.
• Exercise care to prevent product damage and to prevent injury to self and others during loading, unloading and transportation of products. Report accidents, spills and incidents immediately. Use safety equipment and personal protective equipment as directed by the Safety Department.
• Coordinate with others during the course of a pickup or delivery, as needed.
• Adapt to working conditions, which may vary due to weather, time of day, and traffic conditions. Exhibit patience and self-control when confronted with hazards or unexpected situations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times, keeping truck cab free from litter and debris.
• Communicate and interact with Managers, Dispatchers, customers and others in a professional manner.
• Work a schedule that will include at least one weekend shift.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience operating heavy-duty trucks such as roll-off trucks, front loaders, rear loaders, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers.
• 1 year minimum CLD driving experience
• Mechanical knowledge of truck systems and basic maintenance procedures.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
• Able to lift up to 50lb.
• Strong driving skills with experience in manual transmission vehicles.
• Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially in waste management or construction industries.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to transportation regulations.
• Physical stamina for long periods of driving and manual handling tasks
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and background check
