Roll-Off Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Driver to operate a roll-off truck for our dumpster delivery service. This position is responsible for delivering and picking up dumpsters at residential, commercial, and construction sites, as well as transporting and disposing of waste materials at local landfills and transfer stations.

Duties

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, including front loader, rear loader, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers, to transport waste containers to and from designated locations
• Load and unload containers with precision, ensuring secure placement for transportation
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Maneuver heavy-duty trucks through tight spaces and challenging terrains with confidence and control
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and route adjustments
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance records
• Perform routine maintenance tasks or report mechanical problems promptly to keep trucks in optimal condition

Requirements

• Clean driving record
• Proven experience driving commercial vehicles such as front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers
• Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with manual transmission experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to load & unload heavy containers safely using appropriate techniques
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy vehicle operation and waste management procedures
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and a focus on safety at all times
• Physical stamina for manual labor tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
