Roll-Off Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roll-Off Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles to transport waste containers, scrap materials, or other large loads to designated sites. Your expertise in driving various types of trucks, combined with your mechanical knowledge, will ensure efficient load delivery and pickup while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in waste management operations, contributing to environmental sustainability and community cleanliness.

Duties

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, rear loader trucks, front loader trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers to load and unload materials efficiently.
• Load and unload containers, ensuring proper placement and securement for transport.
• Drive commercial vehicles with manual transmissions across urban and rural routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Perform routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips, checking mechanical components such as brakes, tires, hydraulics, and fluid levels.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks using mechanical equipment or manual effort when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks including roll-off, rear loader, front loader, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
• Proven experience operating commercial vehicles with manual transmissions in various environments.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with delivery driver responsibilities preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading or unloading processes.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations.
• Familiarity with load securing techniques to prevent accidents or cargo loss during transit.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and understanding route instructions. Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
