Roll-Off Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Roll-Off Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our waste management team.

In this role, you will operate various types of trucks, including roll-off trucks, 26FT box trucks, Cargo Vans, Forklifts, Hitched Trailers, etc.

Additionally, this role will have labor involved at times, we are looking for someone versatile and willing to work as a team covering each other. We provide different types of waste management: dumpster rental, regulated waste pickups, junk removal, etc.

Your expertise in commercial driving combined with mechanical knowledge will ensure safe and timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Duties

• Safely operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks such as roll-off trucks, 26FT box trucks, Cargo Vans, Forklifts, Hitched Trailers, etc.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment and techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Attach and detach containers or loads securely using mechanical tools and ensure proper placement for transport.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, mechanical condition, and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure operational efficiency.
• Assist with the load & unload process at various sites, ensuring proper handling of materials in accordance with safety standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license specific to roll-off trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
• Mechanical knowledge of truck systems including brakes, engines, hydraulics, and manual transmissions.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and material handling.
• Experience in load & unload procedures involving heavy lifting and proper securing techniques.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, precision maneuvering, and adherence to traffic laws.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
