Roll-Off Driver

Duties

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and flatbed vehicles, to transport waste containers to designated locations.
• Load and unload large roll-off containers with precision, ensuring proper placement for efficient disposal or recycling processes.
• Manage route driving schedules, adhering to planned routes and delivery timelines while optimizing fuel efficiency.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers, including refrigerated trailers and tanker units when applicable.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and route adjustments.
• Operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for container handling or loading operations.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not required; training available for qualified candidates.
• Prior experience driving tractor-trailers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks in a commercial setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving best practices.
• Ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts safely when needed.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to truck driving and material handling.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and dispatchers effectively. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
