Roll-Off Driver

Overview

Duties

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, including tractor-trailers and dump trucks, to pick up and deliver material across designated routes
• Load and unload freight containers using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hydraulic systems
• Conduct routine inspections of the truck’s mechanical condition, including brakes, lights, tires, and safety features before and after each shift
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving and delivery operations
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel usage, and service records
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and drop-offs efficiently
• Assist with securing loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving, especially with commercial vehicles like tractor-trailers or roll-off trucks
• Familiarity with different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or freight trailers is a plus
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other lifting equipment
• Strong knowledge of route driving best practices to optimize efficiency and safety
• Excellent driving record with experience in delivery driver roles preferred
• Physical ability to handle heavy containers up to 75 lbs and perform routine vehicle inspections

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
