Responsibilities

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, including tractor-trailers and dump trucks, to pick up and deliver waste containers across multiple locations.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hydraulic systems.
• Manage route driving schedules, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical issues, fluid levels, and safety features; perform routine maintenance checks.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, fuel usage, and vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers to coordinate routes, report issues, and ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all safety procedures related to operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, or specialized equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers preferred.
• Prior delivery driver experience in freight or waste management is highly desirable.
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other lifting equipment.
• Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols for heavy-duty vehicles.
• Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-off trucks is a plus.
