Duties

• Safely operate roll-off trucks equipped with hydraulic lifts to load, unload, and transport waste containers across designated routes.
• Drive tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or tanker trucks as required, demonstrating proficiency with manual transmission and various vehicle types.
• Load and unload freight, debris, or recyclable materials accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transit.
• Manage route driving schedules, adhering to timeframes and safety protocols while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; report any concerns promptly.
• Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, pickups, route activities, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in truck driving, especially with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission
• Knowledge of freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving best practices.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and waste transportation.

Pay: $23.50 - $25.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Roll-off truck: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL A CDL B (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Kalamazoo, MI 49006 (Preferred)
