Roll-Off Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roll-Off Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks to transport, load, and unload waste containers at various job sites. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries and pickups, maintaining high safety standards while providing excellent service to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in waste management logistics, supporting environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate roll-off trucks with precision, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws during route driving and delivery operations
• Load and unload waste containers using hydraulic systems, ensuring secure placement on the truck and proper disposal at designated facilities
• Drive a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, and specialized freight trucks as needed
• Maintain accurate logs of all deliveries and pickups, documenting routes, times, and any incidents or issues encountered during shifts
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate route schedules and address any logistical challenges
• Assist with loading or unloading freight using forklifts or other equipment when necessary to support efficient operations

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving route driving and load & unload tasks
• Familiarity with operating manual transmission roll-off trucks
• Ability to safely handle freight of different types and sizes while maintaining proper load securement procedures
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and vehicle inspections
• Experience with forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
