Duties

• Install, repair, and replace roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized roofing equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and roofing plans to ensure precise installation
• Measure and cut roofing materials accurately to fit specific project requirements
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, tiles, and other roofing components
• Apply caulking, sealants, and flashing to ensure watertight seals on roofs and around penetrations
• Conduct inspections on completed work to verify quality standards and adherence to safety protocols
• Assist with construction estimating by assessing project scope and material needs for roofing projects

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, or related construction fields with site experience preferred
• Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, as well as power tools including nail guns and drills
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to roofing systems
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes for project planning and material procurement
• Familiarity with various roofing materials like asphalt shingles, metal roofing, tile, stucco finishes, and membrane systems
• Experience with related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry (concrete forming), plumbing (for roof drainage), welding (metal fabrication), and restoration work is a plus
• Capable of heavy lifting and working at heights safely while maintaining focus on quality workmanship
• Strong understanding of safety standards on construction sites including fall protection measures
• Additional skills such as framing carpentry, metal stud framing, tile laying, caulking techniques, or handyman experience are advantageous

Pay: $25.00 - $44.00 per hour
