Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install roofing materials using hand tools, power tools, and roofing-specific equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute roofing projects
• Prepare surfaces by removing old roofing materials or debris and ensuring proper framing or sheathing is in place
• Apply roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, tiles, or membrane systems with precision and attention to detail
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure durability, weatherproofing, and compliance with specifications
• Assist with related tasks including caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, or restoration projects as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience in roofing installation and repair on various types of structures
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
• Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers; power tools including drills, saws, nail guns; and roofing-specific equipment
• Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and ability to work at heights comfortably
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
• Basic understanding of related trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, welding, framing carpentry, metal stud framing or tile laying is a plus
• Prior experience in construction estimating or handyman work is advantageous
• Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safety compliance
