Roofing Mechanic/Installer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofing Mechanic/Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Responsibilities

• Install various roofing materials including shingles, metal panels, membranes, and flat roof systems with precision and efficiency
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation aligned with project specifications
• Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and caulking guns to assemble roofing components
• Operate power tools including drills, nail guns, saws, and grinders safely and effectively on construction sites
• Conduct site inspections to assess project progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols
• Assist with related tasks such as flashing installation, sealing joints with caulking, framing repairs, or minor carpentry work as needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing installation or repair on construction sites; familiarity with commercial and residential projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading techniques
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools commonly used in roofing and general construction
• Experience with construction site safety practices and protocols
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during installation tasks
• Basic understanding of schematics, metal stud framing, masonry work, plumbing connections, or welding is a plus
• Prior handyman experience or involvement in remodeling projects highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
