Roofing Production Coordinator — Organized, Sharp & Process-Driven

Hi, my name's Matt Webster, I'm the owner of Golden Shield Roofing, and I'm glad you're here!

I'm looking for a sharp, organized Production Coordinator who can own the back office of every roofing job from sale to closeout — pulling permits, managing material orders, scheduling crews and deliveries, coordinating inspections, and making sure our customers always know what's happening before they have to ask. If you've done this kind of work in construction, love working inside a clean system, and take pride in keeping everything organized and on track, this role was written for you.

Our company is growing fast and we hold a high bar in every part of the business because we're building something special. If you want to be on a winning team with real growth potential, keep reading.

This role is for you if you:

  • Are obsessively organized and genuinely enjoy a clean, structured process
  • Follow through on every task without being reminded
  • Take real satisfaction in keeping a system up to date and running smoothly
  • Communicate clearly and professionally — in writing and on the phone
  • Take ownership when something goes wrong and fix it fast
  • Thrive in a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same
  • Do the right thing even when no one is checking

This role is NOT for you if you:

  • Let things fall through the cracks and blame it on being busy
  • Need constant supervision to stay on track
  • Treat a CRM like it's optional
  • Are reactive instead of proactive
  • Think "close enough" is good enough
  • You'd prefer to be in the field than in the office (this is an office position)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the production pipeline: manage every job from the production board through permit closeout — permits, work orders, materials, dumpsters, and customer communication
  • Pull permits fast: submit immediately when a job hits the board, pay fees, upload docs, schedule inspections, and close out on time
  • Coordinate material orders and deliveries: ensure materials and dumpsters are ordered and on site the day before every build
  • Schedule and confirm crews: make sure the crew and superintendent are confirmed with a signed work order at least 2 days before every build
  • Keep customers in the loop: proactively communicate at every key touchpoint so our customers never have to ask what's happening
  • Keep JobNimbus (CRM) current: job stages, permit/material/dumpster statuses, and all documents updated same day, every day
  • Support the Superintendent: make sure every build day is set up perfectly before anyone shows up on site

What We're Looking For

  • Experience pulling permits and managing the permit process in Connecticut municipalities (Roofing or construction)
  • Experience coordinating material orders and deliveries in a construction environment
  • Prior experience in an administrative, coordinator, or operations role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and process-driven — you like working inside a clean system and keeping it that way
  • Able to manage multiple jobs at once without losing track
  • Comfortable making phone calls to town offices, suppliers, and customers
  • Experience working in a CRM — JobNimbus experience is a plus

Compensation & Growth

  • $60,000/year starting base salary
  • Reach $75,000 as you grow into the role and hit your targets — raises tied to KPI performance
  • Health insurance after 6 months
  • 401(k) matching after 6 months
  • Real growth path — as the company scales, this role grows with it

This is more than a coordinator job — it's the operational backbone of a growing roofing company. We're not building another 'Meh' roofing company. We're aiming to raise the standard in this industry, and grow quickly and we need someone in this seat who takes that seriously. If that's you, apply today!

I look forward to speaking with you!

— Matt
