Key Responsibilities1. Guest Room Cleaning

  • Clean and prepare assigned guest rooms according to the hotel's standards.
  • Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities.
  • Dust all surfaces, vacuum carpets, and mop floors where needed.
  • Clean bathrooms: wash basins, toilets, bathtubs, showers, and mirrors.
  • Replenish minibar items (if applicable).
  • Ensure room furniture and fixtures are in good condition; report any damage.

2. Guest Service

  • Respond promptly to guest requests (extra amenities, towels, pillows, etc.).
  • Ensure guest belongings are not disturbed and maintain high confidentiality.
  • Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Handle Lost & Found items following hotel policy.

3. Cleaning Public & Back-of-House Areas

  • Clean corridors, service areas, and assigned public areas.
  • Ensure housekeeping trolleys are neat, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Dispose of guest garbage and ensure bins are emptied regularly.

4. Safety & Hygiene

  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow hotel safety guidelines.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling linen, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Report maintenance issues, broken items, or safety hazards immediately.

5. Administrative Tasks

  • Update room status in the daily assignment sheet or mobile device.
  • Return master keys at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure laundry is handled according to hotel procedures.
