Room Attendant

Core Responsibilities:

 Clean and maintain the guest room areas, including bathroom and bedroom, according to

company standards

 Organize and stock cleaning cart, and organize linen closets as assigned

 Complete assigned paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion

 Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning spills or executing special guest

requests

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

 High work ethic and self-initiative

 Regular attendance according to established guidelines

 May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property

 Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite

frequent interruptions

 Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest

confidentiality at all times

Physical Requirements:

 Quickly and thoroughly perform cleaning duties in guest rooms, spending approximately

24 minutes per guest room, and cleaning approximately 18 rooms per shift

 Sit, stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time

 Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements

 Inspect rooms for cleanliness and immediately report guest belongings that have been left

behind

 Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies on and off a cart, using

safe lifting techniques

 Push heavy carts, approximately one hundred (100) pounds

 Good communication skills, both written and verbal, using written communication skills

to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork

 Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing,

listening and hearing ability and visual ability
