Rotational Finance Program Analyst

Department: Finance, Corporate
Location: Itasca, IL
Type: Full-time

Summary:

This role will gain hands-on experience across all major financial areas of Prinova, including Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis, Operational Financial Planning and Analysis, Cost/Managerial Accounting, and Credit/Treasury, over a 2-3-year period.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

Support the annual budget process
Support the monthly forecasting process
Develop and maintain analysis and financial models for use by senior management in reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance and comparisons to budget/forecast/prior year results
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly management reports and KPI’s that track the financial and operational performance of the organization
Ability to data mine and create deep dive analysis on various metric areas and financial trends
Supporting senior staff with special or ad-hoc projects as requested
Assist with special projects as needed
Analyze cost/managerial accounting trends and variances for Prinova’s manufacturing divisions
Work with accounting to assist in the monthly and year-end close processes as needed
Other duties may be assigned

Required Education and/or Experience:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience within a corporate finance environment is preferred but not required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)

Travel: Minimal

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
Work environment is normally in an office setting. Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment
Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
Other physical requirements include moderate standing and occasional squatting, bending, and twisting
Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas
Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
