Route 86 Design, Copywriting, or Video Production Intern

Crowley Webb is looking for a creative design, copywriting, or video production intern to support internal teams and gain insight into the development of a marketing campaign. The ideal candidate will bring a fresh, creative perspective and an eagerness to learn the ropes of an advertising agency.

Our internship program has been designed to create opportunities for historically underrepresented groups in the advertising and marketing industry, though we encourage college juniors and seniors of all backgrounds to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Please note: Specific responsibilities for this role will be determined by the intern's area of focus (e.g., design, copywriting, or video production).

  • Contribute to the development of an internal capstone project through cross-departmental collaboration
  • Fulfill tasks set out by supervisors from various departments
  • Conduct research as requested to develop an understanding of agency clients and their industries
  • Attend internal and client meetings and assist with the preparation of meeting minutes
  • Write copy for blogs and/or social media posts
  • Research social media and graphic design trends and identify opportunities to create impactful and engaging content
  • Work with the creative team to create meaningful and engaging videos for clients
  • Assist with website edits and content creation
  • Assist with creation of print and digital marketing materials
  • Contribute to the coordination of monthly community service events
  • Perform quality assurance tests for websites

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled as an undergraduate going into their junior or senior year (or a current senior) in graphic design, writing, video production, digital marketing, or a related field
  • Proficiency in the following software applications, depending on the area of focus:
    • Design: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and Figma (for a UX design focus)
    • Video production: Proficiency in video editing software and familiarity with DaVinci Resolve
  • Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Drive
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to prioritize workload and effectively manage timelines and deadlines


Structure:
10-week summer program starting June 9, 2026 through August 13, 2026

Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday from 9:00am–5:00pm

Please note: An intern with a video production focus may need a flexible weekly schedule that deviates from the listed hours to accommodate video shoot requirements.

Location: The Sweeney Building, 268 Main Street, Suite 400, Buffalo, NY 14202

Compensation: $17.00 hourly


Please note, our timeline for the candidate selection process includes the following:

  • Route 86 applications are set to close on March 30, 2026.
  • Once applications close, the hiring team will review all submissions. After resume review, if a candidate is selected to move forward in the interview process, the first step is the completion of a pre-screen survey to allow the hiring team to learn more about their qualifications. The pre-screen survey will be sent out to selected individuals during the week of April 6. Candidates are given 48 hours to complete the pre-screen survey if requested.
  • If awarded, the final step in the interview process is an in-person interview with members of the Crowley Webb hiring team, located at our office in downtown Buffalo. These interviews take place during the month of April.
