We are a growing company seeking to add a Route Driver – CDL Class B (Automated Side Load) to our team. We are looking to fill a full-time position (36-40 hours per week).

Job Duties

• Safely drive and operate industry specialized trucks to collect trash/recycling containers at residential neighborhoods and commercial businesses while navigating high traffic, congested roads and alleys
• Service approximately 500-800 customer locations per day
• Ensure accounts are serviced efficiently while leaving customer sites clean of debris
• Communicate customer needs and issues to office and sales department
• Perform daily inspection of vehicles and report any defects needing correction to shop foreman
• Clean out truck daily and wash truck weekly
• Operate electronic tablet for various purposes such as following GPS navigation on routes, recording driver notes, and taking pictures of overloaded or blocked containers

Physical Demands

• Must be able to push/pull carts weighing approximately 250 lbs
• Must be able to bend to lift extra materials (weighing up to 90lbs) into containers
• Must exit truck 25-75 times daily to retrieve carts and load extra overflow materials into containers
• Shifts are usually 8-10 hours per day, 4 days per week

Required Experience & Abilities

• Must be able to pass DOT drug screen test
• Must have valid Class B driver’s license with clean driving record
• Meet company driving standards and comply with fleet safety policy
• Work independently in absence of supervision
• Communicate with all personnel and management using excellent verbal and written skills
• Past driving experience in the waste management industry is preferred but not required

Job Details

• 4-day work week
• 36-40 hours a week
• 5:30AM-3:30PM work schedule
• Uniform and PPE company provided

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
