Route Supervisor

Position Summary

Mustang Transportation is seeking a proactive and dependable Route Supervisor to oversee daily shuttle operations in Rexburg, Idaho. This leadership role is responsible for supervising Shuttle Van Drivers, coordinating schedules, approving payroll, managing vehicle maintenance timelines, and operating routes as needed.

The Route Supervisor ensures that our transportation services are safe, reliable, professional, and aligned with company standards. This position combines field leadership with administrative oversight and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Shuttle Van Drivers to ensure safe and professional performance
• Create, manage, and adjust driver schedules to meet operational demands
• Review and approve driver timesheets for accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate routine and preventative vehicle maintenance schedules
• Communicate with mechanics regarding inspections, repairs, and service timelines
• Drive assigned routes
  
• Provide a high level of customer service to client and passengers.
• Address route issues, delays, and operational concerns in real time
• Ensure completion of required documentation, logs, and reports
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, professionalism, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Minimum age of 21 (or as required by insurance regulations)
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Excellent communication and Customer Service Skills
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Schedule

• Flexible to be Part-time or Full-time based on the balance of supervisory time and driving time
• May include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs
• Available to 7 days a week at shift changes, preferably local for quick response when needed.
  
• Mix of administrative time and active route cover
